Our goals at Tiny Toes Playschool
We provide children with:
  • A pleasant and safe space to play and learn
  • A variety of multicultural experiences
  • A place to meet their emotional, physical, social, and intellectual development
  • A healthy environment
  • Learning experience and skills for Kindergarten

First day at the Playschool
Before your child begins attending Tiny Toes Playschool, we will need to set up an exact enrollment date and set hours. You may bring your child for 1 or 2 days for a couple of hours to help them get acquainted with the Playschool.

Children often cry the first few times they are left. Try a brief goodbye. Delaying departure is hard on both the parent and child, as both become more upset and reinforce each other’s fears and feelings. If your child is upset when you leave, you may call to check on his/her progress. We will call you if your child does not settle down. Most children quiet down quickly, are reassured by the provider and become interested in toys and the other children. Your child will more than likely calm down by the time you reach your vehicle.

-Please bring the following items the first day:
Ø Registration papers, signed and complete.
Ø Lunch box with their name on it
Ø Complete change of clothing, weather appropriate
Ø Diapers, wipes or extra training underwear
Ø Small pillow and blanket
Ø Any special misc. items
Please remember you may keep any items in the Playschool during the week and take them home with you each Friday.

Do NOT bring: candy or gum (junk food), toys from home, unlabeled items

Hours-Arrival and Departure Times
The Playschool will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Arrival and departure times will depend on what hours the parent and provider comes to agreement upon.  The provider will be at the Playschool no earlier than 6:30 a.m, please do not request for us to open earlier. For the children’s safety the doors to the facility will be locked at all times even during arrival and departure times.

Nap Time
Children will have a set time to nap during the day. The children do not necessarily have to nap but this is rest/quiet time. The children will be required to lie down and rest without disturbing other children.

Birthdays/Holidays
It is always fun for children to share and celebrate. We do allow children to bring in snacks such as cup cakes, cakes, fruit, (etc.) for birthdays and holidays. Please let the providers know ahead of time if you will be bringing anything for celebration.

Lunch/Snacks/beverages
For the time being, parents are required to bring meals/snacks/beverages for their children. We will keep juice, water, and milk in the refrigerator for the children.
